Wow! An obstacle Course

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, we recognise that jumping, climbing and balancing are all skills used during an obstacle course. In the early years, these activities enable a little one to crawl, climb and experience sensory exploration.

Obstacle courses promote active play. This type of activity promotes the development of their fine and gross motor skills. The separate obstacles work different muscles giving them an all-round physical workout during play. Creating an outdoor tunnel for the children to crawl through helps develop those little muscles.

Knowing how to do things in a specific order and remembering how to do them are both skills that children use every day. Obstacle courses teach children to persevere and collaborate to solve problems. They learn how to react and adapt to different situations

These little ones at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach are really enjoying their time outdoors and working together to work it out!!!
