Who doesn't Love a Chocolate Pudding?

Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding


1 cup SR flour sifted

3/4 cup caster sugar

2 tablesp cocoa sifted

pinch salt

1/2 cup milk

50gms butter melted

1 egg

1 teasp vanilla

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 3/4 cups boiling water



  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Prepare a 6 cup capacity ovenproof dish

  3. Sift flour, salt, and cocoa into a bowl

  4. Add sugar and mix well

  5. Whisk milk, vanilla, and melted butter together

  6. Make a well in dry ingredients

  7. add milk mixture to dry ingredients

  8. Mix till smooth

  9. Spread evenly into a prepared ovenproof dish

  10. Combine sifted cocoa and brown sugar

  11. Sprinkle over top of batter in baking dish

  12. Pour in water carefully over the back of a spoon

  13. Bake in for 50-60 mins

  14. Serve with ice cream or cream or both.
