Things to paint with

Updated: Mar 1

Creative activities with paint and colour use different parts of the brain from other activities like Science and Maths concepts. Creative play and painting activities exercise your child's "right" brain leading to healthy brain development.

For these children, there is no right or wrong way to paint. This is more about the process so that every child can feel successful no matter what the skill level or developmental stage.

Choosing objects to paint with encourages creativity as these little ones create with colour and interesting objects. The child is developing a knowledge base of what it feels like to move their object across the paper and explore their use of colour.

Children often can't wait to share with you about their painting. Asking open-ended questions will help stretch and grow the child thinking and verbal skills

See how these little ones are completely absorbed in their work
