The Advancement of Scientific Activities

The need to focus on science in the early childhood classroom has grown because of the understanding and recognition of the power of children's early thinking and learning. It is known that because of the greater potential of children to learn in these earlier years, the skillful guidance of experienced educators has a profound effect on their later learning.

It has been shown that early science concepts are really crucial to children's educational development.

Science education activities provide children with the opportunities to develop and practice many skills including teamwork, advancement of communication and negotiation skills, collaborative skills along with analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, the Educators offered water from different containers so the children could develop their understanding of * mass

* volume

* weight.

For them, it was all about playing with water and that is always fun!!
