Socialization Skills

Updated: May 19

Socialization is an important process in child development. This process is one in which children become functioning members of a particular group and take on the values and behaviors of the members of the group, which in the case of Early Learning, is their peers and kindy friends.

Early childhood socialization can lead to children being better prepared to enter school, improve listening skills, and increase their likelihood of making friends. Early socialization can also help to decrease anxiety for children

Socialization also helps young children develop their sense of self and what others expect of them

This provides a good case for placing your child in early learning as it helps them progress through this phase naturally. Sharing, setting boundaries and problem solving all come from socializing and interacting

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, we place great importance on socialization activities.
