Imaginative Play; The Grocery Store

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, our Educators recognise that "Imagination Driven" play builds children's developmental skills.

Young children learn by imagining and doing. The process of pretending builds skills in many developmental areas. When we listen to the words used during imaginative play, we often hear our own words reflected in a child's play. Children can do a perfect imitation of Mum, Dad or their teacher/educator.

The children at Dragonfly's Early Learning's pretend play station, "The Grocery Store" has been a favourite with the children, ranging from selling ice creams to lemonade to groceries

This experience focuses on the development of many skills, maths concepts by using a cash register and people skills by communicating with their customers

And don't they love it? Just look at those beautiful smiles!!!
