Paper Scrunch Creativity

Educators at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, play an integral role in learning by exposing children to sustainability through daily routines and practices.

Children are encouraged to think about waste management and to bring along donations from home to contribute to their Recycling Centre. They are encouraged to save all manner of things that they can recycle at Kindergarten to help to save the planet.

In the classroom with the Educator to guide them, projects are given thought and discussion ensues as they decide what to do with their saved sustainable items. Guidance in caring for our planet and shaping positive little minds is a very important role.

Experiences such as reusing and recycling materials is effective in supporting the children's learning about the importance of reducing further waste and extending a wide variety of skills and learning opportunities for the children in their care

Here we see the work of the children creating beautiful art work through sustainability.
