Ooey and Gooey, but oh, so Nice!!!!!

The children at dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach have been looking forward to making slime over the last few days.

Slime is a sensory material and as such, is great to add to the early childhood programme

Slime has the strangest characteristic in that it flows somewhat like liquid, but is actually a solid. It is ooey and gooey to touch but it flows through your fingers and down your arms. It clings to your hands but isn't sticky. Is it any wonder that it has children mesmerised?

It is such a unique substance that children need time to process such a strange sensory material.

Slime making allows the opportunity to explore and understand basic science experimentation including measurement and cause and effect.
