More on Edward the Emu

Following the story of Edward the Emu from earlier in the week, allowed them to focus on the text and really listen to the story.

It is a delightful tale of recognition and understanding with lots for the children to think about. Tired of his life as an Emu, Edward decides to try being something else for a change.

He has a day swimming with the seals, lounging with the lions, and even slithering with the snakes. However, he soon discovers that being an Emu is probably the best for him

This enabled them to focus on the characters in the text and the children really loved painting not only the characters from the text but their very own favourite zoo animals.
