Learning in a Fun Way...Role Play.

Role-playing is an essential part of children's learning. According to recent research, a child's capacity for cognitive flexibility and creativity is linked to role play. Children exercise their brain and train it to practice using their imagination at a very early age.

When children express themselves through pretend play, they use language and storytelling skills to create a 'pretend' scenario. New ideas, participants, toys, costumes, and materials are seamlessly incorporated into the magic of the moment without interrupting its flow.

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, we recognize that role-playing is learning in a disguised fun way and the children really enjoy taking part in these activities.

Our outdoor home corner has been a popular choice this past week as the children explore their own imaginations in role play.

Look at these little cuties enjoying their own company in their little world of role play.
