Learning About Our bodies

Children glean a lot of information from what they see. Currently, in the pre kindy room the children are learning about muscles and bones in their bodies.

To begin this exercise, the children traced the bodies of the children in different poses. These were put onto the wall so that everyone could see them. They then added hair and placed it onto the bodies.

Miss Leanne then printed out different body parts already learned to see if they could remember where these parts go and the work that they do in our bodies.

There are lots that they've already learned. The children have learned so far where their heart is, their collar bone, spine, vertebrae, pelvis, kidneys, cranium, gluteus maximus, patella, biceps and triceps. These parts will all be placed on the bodies to help them remember

So much to learn but what fun the learning is!
