How to Add Protein to your Child's Snacks

Add a little protein to help make their snacks more satisfying
Protein (and fat) add satiety or a feeling of fullness/satisfaction, to foods because they help better regulate our blood sugar. You may notice this if you have porridge and fruit for breakfast-great options full of nutrients and fibre, but you might be hungry in an hour or two. Stir in some peanut butter, yogurt, or milk and it's suddenly a much more satisfying meal that helps you feel energised for longer
The same goes for snacks. Kids don't need heaps of protein to meet their daily needs, but a little can go a long way in a snack. A little cheese fruit or hummus can make allll the difference
