Harmony Week

Harmony Week is celebrated every year on 21st March. Harmony Week is held to acknowledge the contributions of multicultural societies to the Australian way of life. It is essentially a celebration of belonging.

In today's multicultural society, it is important for the children to be introduced to the wider world and realise that there are other countries apart from Australia and people from these countries live here and contribute to our communities. This helps them to understand that there are other cultures outside their own little worlds.

This year, some parents gave up their time and came along to share their culture and family lives with the children. Seeing what exists in other cultures widens their learning experiences and encourages acceptance

We at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach are very grateful to the parents who gave their time to come along to introduce themselves to the children and share their culture with them.

The children were mesmerised. What a fun and educational way to spend the day!
