Fun with Sensory Play

Sensory play is an activity that stimulates a child's 5 senses; Touch, Taste, Sight, Sound, and Smell

Research shows that Sensory Play builds nerve connections in the pathways of the brain which lead to a child's ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory Play also supports language development, cognitive growth, problem-solving skills and social interaction.

Through sensory play, children gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. Once they can open their hands from a fist and reach for things, they are ready to begin exploring their world.

Last week, these little Dragonflies used rice, letters, slime, and playdough to investigate sensory play. Such beautiful squishy, soft, "stuff "to play with.
