Fresh Fruit for Growing Minds and Bodies

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, we understand how important healthy food choices are for growing minds and bodies so, in order to promote this, we make sure that our little Dragonfly's get fresh fruit every day.

Doesn't it look beautiful?

We make sure that fruit is introduced daily to be a part of a healthy eating pattern, encouraging the children to make their own fruit choices is also an important part of the process.

Children should eat at least 2 servings of fruit daily combined with servings of fresh vegetables and nuts, all of which provide a better alternative, as a snack, to processed junk foods

Fruits are a good source of vitamins and minerals and are recognised for their role in growing strong, healthy bodies while preventing vitamin deficiencies and reducing the risk of chronic disease.

Aside from the health benefits of taking fruit daily, introducing fruit and vegetables can contribute to their communication skills and learning as they discuss the fruit, how it grows and where it comes from.
