What to Wear......to Kindy??
What to wear is on the lips of all who have somewhere to go.......particularly if you are off to join your "buddies" at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach.
This week the "Possums" from Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum beach had a dress-up day. The theme was "Characters" (as if there are not already enough of them!!!) and the children could come to kindy dressed as their all-time favorite character. Such excitement on arrival!
Children throughout the ages have enjoyed dressing up in costumes and engaging in dramatic roleplaying. ... As early childhood educators know, "play is the work of the child."
"Dress up" play is encouraged as it allows children to dream, hope, and use their imaginations. It gives children permission to pretend to be someone or something different and extraordinary that reflects their personality and current interests and promotes independence and self-esteem.
They participated in activities including, pin the tail on the kangaroo, biscuit decorations, face painting and lots of dancing to children’s choice of music. What a great "dress-up" party it was!
So many beautiful photos to choose from. Watch for the Ripl Video later in the week to see them all!
