Do You Like My Ride?

Updated: Feb 16

At Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach, we encourage the children to "get on their bike"! It's such good exercise for them. Riding a bike not only improves physical fitness, it also benefits a child's learning development and mental health.

Cycling will help a child develop their leg muscles and strengthen their bones. The continued exercise will help build their stamina and improve their cardiovascular development. It also helps to increase coordination and balance

Riding a bike allows a child to express some of the natural play urges that are important in the development of their brains including role play, rotating and playing running and chasing games.

Who would have thought that the little ride around the path or in the sandpit would contribute so much to a child's development?
