Dance like No-one is Watching

The children from Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach had a visit from Miss Ebony from Encore Dancing last week. She was a huge hit!!

Children begin to make sense of sounds before they leave the womb and their first response to this is through movement of their body. When a child dances, they learn how their body can move. Through dance, children learn to balance, coordinate and control their bodies. This movement also helps them to develop spatial awareness

Singing and dancing are also good aerobic exercise linked to stress reduction, physical fitness, and overall good health

When watching children grooving to the music, you can't help the smile that comes to your face. They obviously love the feeling of moving to the music. With dance, children learn new sounds, words, and patterns and make a connection with their peers. They develop listening and social skills that encourage self-confidence.

The children at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach did so well following Miss Ebony's instructions

This was such a fun activity.....they loved it!!!
