Continuing Our Visit To Germany
Updated: Aug 26, 2019
The Kindergarten Children at Dragonfly's Early Learning have had an amazing time travelling the world by Imagination. First they made their airport and now their experiences are continuing as they investigate the world of travel by learning about the Food of Germany
How exciting is this.....a beautiful freshly baked pretzel made by the Kindergarten team!!!
How proud of his freshly baked "goodie" is this little Dragonfly??

Making the pretzel dough provided experience with measuring and the science of baking

Here we are setting out the pretzels and allowing them to proove before baking. The children watch in wonder as they "grow" in size.

He is SO excited!!!!

Waiting in anticipation!!!!!

The Pretzel, as served in Germany has a dark brown crispy salty crust and inside, a soft dough. It has a plump body and thin crispy crossed arms. Pretzels are traditionally made from white wheat flour, malt, sea salt yeast and water
As happens in other European Countries like Italy, each German Region has its own speciality dishes along with variations on top German Cuisine
Spatzle is Germany's answer to artisan pasta and is made into a dish similar to our Macaroni Cheese.
