Connecting with our Community; The Ambulance

The Paramedic Officers in our Dragonfly's Community made a visit to the children at Dragonfly's Early Learning at Coolum Beach. How exciting for the children to see firsthand the work that Paramedic Services do

In this instance, the Paramedics were the Mum and Dad of one of our little Dragonflys

The children were all queued up ready to tour the ambulance vehicle

The inclusion of these visits to our Centre has a twofold purpose

Firstly, it introduces the children to an essential service that is very active in the community. These particular Paramedics were actually a Mum and Dad just like their own Mum and Dad

This normalises the service of paramedics and familiarises them with the paramedic services. They know that there is no need for "fear" or hesitancy because they are just like their own Mum and Dad

They also learn lessons about what the Paramedics actually do so that it is no longer a mystery or something that they are unsure of. They learn exactly what to do and hopefully will know how to call them in an emergency situation.

The best part was to actually see inside the Ambulance Vehicle. How exciting!!
